You have a real awesome chance to go crazy with the design of your site. If you can find some high res images of Africa, the desert, and fossils/artifacts…then yours site is going to be kickin! You should def put a forum up there too! There are some great open source forums out there that you can customize.

Derrick, I need a little more information about what you are referring to as “remnant artifacts” and the collectors of these objects. Where is there a site that has a history? It is difficult to provide feedback without a little more detail of the story!
