When I first started I did some research on archeology then I narrow my search for specific topics. Then I look at the different aspects of archeology and sorted out what was best for users and what they would be interested in. After that I look at websites that were similar to what I wanted and came up with a color scheme. For the first site I wanted it two have some earth tone colors in it to reflect on archeology like the digging excavations. Once I’ve found the colors that I want I start to look for font type that had a vintage look to it.

For my project I going to target different cultures like from Africa, South America, and Asia. I’m also going to provide people with facts about each artifact and what was going on at the time. For those who want to learn more about collecting artifact the site will provide them with ways of communicating with other collectors that are experience, novice, and intermediate. In the future we would like to have archaeologists to come and talk about new findings to get more people excited and involved in learning history. They will be able to do all of this with a RSS feed and a chat room that will provide up-to-date information.

This process is good for design in general and it will only evolve in the future and there were other steps that he mentioned at the end that’s also improve your project. I agree with him that these steps should be taken no matter the size of the project even though it might seem that its time consuming.
